IntoPIX Titanium Apps Achieve IPMX Certification

18.03.26 05:07 PM By Julie Van Roy

intoPIX announces that its Titanium Software Suite has officially achieved IPMX certification, reinforcing the company’s commitment to open standards and interoperable AV-over-IP ecosystems.

This certification validates that all Titanium software solutions meet the technical requirements defined by the IPMX specification and can interoperate reliably within modern ProAV and Broadcast IP infrastructures.

Advancing Interoperability in AV-over-IP

The adoption of AV over IP technologies continues to transform professional media infrastructures. As video, audio, and control signals increasingly move to IP networks, interoperability between devices from different vendors becomes essential.

IPMX (Internet Protocol Media Experience) was developed to address this challenge by defining a common framework for transporting professional media over standard IP networks. It builds upon established broadcast technologies (such as ST 2110) and adapts them to the needs of the ProAV industry, enabling flexible and scalable deployments.

However, true interoperability requires more than implementing a written specification. In order to be IPMX-certified, devices must demonstrate conformance through a structured test process defined in the IPMX Test Plan. The inaugural IPMX certification was hosted by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), providing independent validation against this test plan.

A Key Step for Titanium Software Applications

By achieving IPMX certification, the Titanium Software Suite confirms its readiness to operate within IPMX-based AV-over-IP environments, helping system designers and integrators deploy interoperable solutions with confidence. This can be used in applications, running on COTS such as:

  • professional AV installations
  • live ST2110 production environments
  • live events and media facilities
  • networked video infrastructures

The certification also validates Titanium’s support for low‑latency media transport technologies such as JPEG XS, which are addressing the performance requirements of real‑time production and ProAV environments.

Strengthening the Open AV Ecosystem

With this milestone, intoPIX continues to support the development of open and interoperable AV-over-IP infrastructures.

The IPMX certification of the Titanium Software Suite represents another step toward enabling flexible and future-proof media workflows where devices, software, and systems from multiple vendors can operate seamlessly together.
